Kat Von D talks about the inspiration for her underwater-themed wedding and says she's "met her match" in Deadmau5.

Kat Von D is her fiance's biggest fan! The L.A. Ink tattoo artist, engaged to deejay Deadmau5 since last December, is supposed to be talking up her new book, Go Big or Go Home — but as she tours the country to promote the tome, she can't help sneaking in a few endorsements for her husband-to-be, too. In an interview for The Wendy Williams Show on Wednesday, Apr. 17, she gushed about how "amazing" her talented groom is, not just as a boyfriend but also as an artist.

"I always laugh, because when people call him a deejay, I always think of, like, going to your high school dance and there's a guy playing an '80s song. And I watch him at home, and he's producing these beautiful sounds. He's, like, lightyears ahead," she told Williams of Deadmau5 (real name: Joel Zimmerman). "Sometimes he talks so fast, I'm like, I can't keep up. But it's so amazing. It's so inspiring."

Kat also talked about collaborating with her on-again love. "We've been creating music, too, together," she said. "So I think I've met my match."

Indeed, the couple seem to have a lot of common interests — one of which is the inspiration for their upcoming underwater-themed wedding. "We're bookworms. I'm totally nerdy. And Joel and I both love H.P. Lovecraft," she explained of the unusual motif, referring to the author of "The Call of Cthulhu," a short story involving a creature that has the head of a giant octopus.

Deadmau5, 32, and Kat, 31, first began dating last September. They broke up briefly in November but reunited shortly thereafter, and he proposed in December via Twitter. "I can't wait for Christmas so…Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" the deejay tweeted, alongside a photo of what her engagement ring would look like. (The ring features four tiny skulls on either side of a black diamond.)

"Mi corazon! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations!" his bride-to-be tweeted a short time later. "Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!"
