They’re baaaack! Nearly three years after Kate Gosselin and her eight kids wrapped the final season of their TLC show Kate Plus 8, the famed reality TV brood is returning to the small screen for a new special, Kate Plus 8: Sextuplets Turn 10.
In a trailer for the two-part special, airing June 19 and 26 at 10 p.m. ET, Gosselin once-again displays the bossy, take-charge attitude for which she became famous when the show Jon & Kate Plus 8 first started airing in 2007. “A lot has changed,” the Celebrity Apprentice alum says in the clip—but that, at least, is the same.
In one scene from the video, Kate holds a family meeting with twins Cara and Mady, 13, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, 10, her kids with ex-husband Jon Gosselin. When Mady interrupts, she sends the teen out of the room and then takes her phone away.
“I got those girls cell phones and iPads so that I could take them away,” she says. “Yes, indeedy. And I’ve learned I’m not the only parent of teens who has discovered that little gem.”
As Us Weekly exclusively reported back in March, the Gosselin kids were “extremely excited” to film again. “They cheered like crazy,” Kate, 38, told Us. “It was like I announced that it’s Christmas tomorrow.”
Her ex-husband was less thrilled. “He thinks it’s a really bad idea for his kids,” a source said of the Couples Therapy alum, who has said that his children have problems “developmentally” because of their time in the spotlight. “Jon feels he has his kids’ best interest at heart.”
