The good ol’ days. Kate Middleton reminisced about her time in Wales with husband Prince William during a rappelling excursion on Friday, Nov. 20. The royal couple scaled a mountain at the Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre in Capel Curig, Wales.
“I love it here,” Middleton, 33, told a mountain rescuer. “I really miss being here, being outside, and in the mountains.”
The Duchess, who is mom to George, 2, and Charlotte, 6 months, was in a playful mood. While helping her husband of four years rappel down the mountain, she joked: “I’m quite enjoying this actually. For once I’m in control.” After William reached the ground level and attempted to climb back up the wall, she added: “Not that we’re competitive, but if he does that, then I’m having to do it too!”
Middleton looked adorably casual dressed in skinny black jeans, hiking boots, and a red waterproof jacket.
“It’s been a really fun day and the couple had a great time,” Mountain Rescue Chairman Mike France told reporters. “William asked us if we could help some of their vulnerable children from WellChild, Child Bereavement, Place2Be and Centrepoint, which we were delighted to do.”
