Is this the look of love? A day after Us Weekly reported that Kate Upton is rumored to be dating Maksim Chmerkovskiy, photos have surfaced of the Sports Illustrated model out in New York City with the Dancing With the Stars pro.
As Us previously reported, the two celebrated Upton’s 21st birthday with dinner at Scalinatella, a restaurant on the Upper East Side. Pictures of the outing show them leaving at separate times and getting into the same car. The 5 foot 10 inch blonde bombshell wore an all black ensemble for their dinner date — black boots, black skinny jeans and a sheer black blouse, accessorizing with a red umbrella for the N.Y.C. rain showers. Looking buff, Chmerkovskiy wore brown boots, blue jeans, a white V-neck tee and a blue denim button up.
Although they left the eatery at different times, they were much closer inside the restaurant. An eyewitness told Us that Upton, 21, and the 33-year-old were “very canoodly” and even holding hands. “It was a very intimate meal,” the source explained.
When contacted by Us, Chmerkovskiy’s rep declined to comment on his personal life. A source close to Upton, meanwhile, said that the two are not dating and that they have known each other for a long time and are just good friends. Her rep had no comment.
Another source close to the pair told Us that their romance is “very new.”
“They were set up through friends,” the source said. “They just started dating.”
