There she is! Kelly Ripa emerged from her NYC home on Thursday, April 21, two days after her Live with Kelly and Michael cohost Michael Strahan announced that he’s departing the show for a full-time gig on Good Morning America.

The talk show host, 45, stepped out on Thursday in a flowy printed dress with a cinched waist. She took advantage of the spring weather and wore open-toe slingback wedges and, of course, her trademark smile. In her hand, Ripa clutched a copy of Malcolm Gladwell’s 2013 bestseller David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants. Joining the star was her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their kids.

Us Weekly broke the news on Wednesday, April 20, that Ripa is escaping the Big Apple for a pre-planned getaway with Consuelos, 45. They’ll be away until early next week. “This was Kelly and Mark’s 20th anniversary trip,” a source told Us exclusively. “And it was planned for months.”

She did, however, take a sick day on Wednesday, when Strahan spoke publicly about his departure for the first time.

Despite Ripa’s absence — her seat was filled by actress Ana Gasteyer on Wednesday — Strahan had glowing things to say about his work wife of four years.

“Kelly welcomed me here, and I’ve learned so much from her, and she’s just been an amazing influence on me,” the former athlete, 44, said to Live viewers on Wednesday. “And this has truly changed my life to be here with her. And I know that the show will continue to be strong and great, because with Kelly and Michael Gelman and the staff — everybody here is so talented, and this show has not been around for over 30 years by mistake. Kelly, I thank you. I love you. And everyone else here at Live.”

Ripa recently celebrated her 15th anniversary on Live.
