The timing could have been better! Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan were two of the biggest winners at the Sunday, May 1 Daytime Emmy Awards — but neither turned up to make an acceptance speech.

The duo won the award for Best Entertainment Talk Show for their work on Live with Kelly and Michael. But following two weeks of drama post Strahan’s announcement that he was leaving the show to take a gig on Good Morning America, neither were in the mood for celebrating.
Dr. Oz stepped in instead to accept the award on behalf of the pair, quipping, “I don’t think they’re here … will accept on their behalf,” he said (via Deadline). “Kelly and Michael will share it!”
And rather than spend the weekend feeling angst-ridden at the unfortunate timing of her high-profile award, Ripa instead was focusing on her marriage to handsome husband Mark Consuelos.
As Us Weekly reported previously, the happy couple are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this weekend, and to celebrate Ripa shared a very cute photograph of the pair of them cuddling up.
