She speaks! Kerry Washington opened up for the first time about being a mom in her first interview since giving birth to her daughter Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha.
In a sit-down interview with The Los Angeles Times on June 10, the Scandal actress took questions from Twitter fans and one fan in particular got the usually mum 37-year-old to open up.
The fan asked: "Now that you're a mom will it be bittersweet to go back to work?"
Washington, who looked beautiful and was glowing during the interview, began to say, "So tricky because you know I don't talk about this stuff," but went on to say she feels "really blessed."
"I will say I feel really, really blessed," the uber-private actress said. "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life."
Washington first broke her silence after giving birth to her baby girl on April 21 last month, when she posted to Twitter on Mother's Day.
"Well…I still wont talk about my personal life on here," the new mom wrote nearly a month after giving birth, "But…I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude! XO #HappyMothersDay."
