Birthday girl Kim Kardashian says she had nothing to do with reported plans for a $1 million birthday cake to be presented on Friday, the day after she turned 30.
"I'm seeing some ridiculous stories today about a million-dollar birthday cake being made for my 'birthday party,'" the reality star blogged on Thursday.
Indeed, Nino Selimaj of NYC eatery Nino created a gem-encrusted $1 million cake as a gift to Kardashian, to be unveiled at a Friday press conference.
"This is the first I've heard about this," Kardashian wrote, "I would never allow anyone to spend that much money on a cake. Making a million dollar birthday cake is just ridiculous! I'd rather they give me a cupcake and donate the rest of the money to the homeless!"
Friday's press conference was subsequently cancelled, and the pricey cake will be "offered to customers," according to a press release.
The birthday girl also pointed out that her official birthday parties already happened over the weekend at Tao Las Vegas and NYC, respectively. She had a "private" party on Thursday with friends and family — on a yacht owned by pal Loren Ridinger.
"Thank you so much for throwing me an amazing party on your beautiful yacht!" she Tweeted after the fete was done. She then gushed: "A girl couldn't ask for better friends! I seriously love my friends! Thank you everyone who celebrated with me tonight! I love you so much!"
