Kobe Bryant, NBA Players Weigh In on Nick Young, D’Angelo Russell Situation

The circle of trust is broken. Kobe Bryant and fellow NBA players are weighing in on the Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell debacle, proving that nothing said in the locker room — er, at home — is sacred.

As previously reported, Russell secretly recorded Young allegedly admitting to cheating on his fiancée, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Taped in Russell’s bedroom, the video appeared to show Russell calling Young at home.

“You was 30, she was 19? … What about Amber Rose, you ain’t never tried?” the up-and-comer says in the footage. Young replies: “No, she knows my girl.” According to the Bleacher Report, Russell filmed the conversation on Snapchat about three months ago.

Needless to say, the bombshell has caused a huge rift, and ESPN reports that the team is icing out Russell. Lakers vet Bryant recently discussed the incident during an interview with Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.

“It’s tough,” Bryant, 37, said on Wednesday, via Bleacher Report. “There’s a lot to learn. I’m sure he’ll evolve and grow and be better from it. … The guys are understanding. We are all human beings. Everybody makes mistakes. Important thing is to show compassion.”
