“I think she could have covered her bum a little bit more right there. But I saw the way the hair and the latex and the all that…it’s just so cool,” Jenner, 60, said during SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos on Tuesday, Dec. 1. “It’s almost like she’s doll-like. And she’s wild, and this is how she expresses herself. So I think it’s great.”
Kylie, 18, rocked a gold metal top and backless latex bodysuits for the feature. Despite cringing at the revealing shots, Jenner is ecstatic that her baby girl got to work with famed photographer Steven Klein. (As previously reported, Kylie received backlash for posing in a wheelchair for the shoot.)
“The pictures are insane. This is so Kylie, by the way. Steven Klein shot this, he is so iconic and amazing. And I love that my girls get to work with the most fantastic photographers in the world. It’s such a great experience and it’s truly remarkable,” Kris continued. “But I think that when they’re doing this, it’s just such a private photo shoot. And she really gets to work with him and express herself. And this is what she loves. I think it’s great. I think they’re beautiful and artistic.”
Kylie — who is back on with boyfriend Tyga — discussed a variety of topics during her interview with the mag. She dished that she actually doesn’t like wearing heavy makeup, materialistic things don’t bring her happiness, and that she was bullied when Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007. With that, Kris appeared to applaud Kylie for her openness.
“I think that she’s definitely somebody who’s got a great head on her shoulders, she’s such a great person, such a great girl with a big heart,” Kris gushed to Menounos. “So I don’t worry about that side of her. And when she expresses herself artistically like that, I love it.”
