Kylie Jenner Plans to Leave Instagram Once She Has a Kid

Kylie Jenner

Not today! Kylie Jenner revealed in a new interview that she plans to leave Instagram someday, though not in the immediate future.

The social media superstar, who turned 18 this past August, counts more than 46.5 million followers on the photo-driven platform and received more than billion likes to her posts in 2015. However, she’s willing to give it all up — including her fame — for one reason alone.

“Once I have a kid, I’m not going to be on Instagram,” Kris Jenner’s youngest daughter told Elle UK in her latest cover story. “You know, I’ll probably delete my Instagram and just . . . I don’t know, live life.”

Kylie was frank about where she sees herself at age 95. “I would love to have a family,” she mused. “And build a home with a farm in Malibu Canyon and just have my kids and throw away my phone, and just really, like, live my life and not do this anymore.”

The star elaborated about her social media pull when she was named one of Time’s 2015 Most Influential Teens along with her model sister Kendall Jenner. “People might have been upset because we were next to, like, young girls who started schools and crazy things. But we’re just different people!” she reflected in a Q&A. “We’re influential in different ways, and that’s okay.”

Knowing this, Kylie has been more focused about how she approaches social media. “Everything I do, there’s a huge light on it. I’m okay with that because it is what it is, it comes with the lifestyle,” she continued, though normalcy is what she craves most.

“All the time. I dream about it,” she mused in the same Q&A. “I never wish to have somebody else’s life — I was meant to have this life for a reason, and I’m going to make the best out of it. But I have normal friends. I sit at my house, and they practically live with me, and I watch them get ready to go to a high school party, hang out with their friends, go to concerts.”
