A baby boy before the holidays! Lauren Bush Lauren, the niece of former president George W. Bush, welcomed her first child with husband David Lauren on Saturday, Nov. 21, and excitedly shared a snapshot of the newborn just one day later.
“Welcome to the world sweet baby James, born yesterday morning on November 21st at 8:19 a.m.!” the fashion designer and CEO of FEED Projects, 31, captioned the picture. “@davidlauren and I are beyond thrilled and in love!”
In the precious photo, the couple’s tiny bundle of joy looks like he’s snoozing all wrapped up in a swaddle and tiny beanie.
The pair first announced their happy baby news via Instagram in July, noting that they were “blessed” and “excited” to welcome their addition to the family.
David Lauren, 44, the son of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, popped the question during a romantic proposal in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which involved him creating an entire exhibit of their love.
They tied the knot in September 2011 in an elaborate wedding at Double RL, the Lauren family’s private, 17,000-acre ranch just outside Telluride, Colo.
