Ready to be Mrs. Higgins! Lauren Bushnell revealed the most romantic thing she does for fiancé Ben Higgins and the one wedding detail they’ve agreed on so far in a chat with Us Weekly at the launch of her new travel and style blog, Sparkle in Her Eye, at the W Hotel in West Hollywood.
The Bachelor season 20 contestant, 25, said that while “wedding plans are pretty much at the start,” they’ve decided on a general location. “We haven’t set a date,” Bushnell told Us. “We definitely started talking about it more, and I think we both agreed that August we actually want to sit down and start planning, so that includes setting a date, that includes the place. We have been throwing around some locations, and I think we’ve narrowed it down to the area that we want to get married. We’re thinking 2017.”
The blonde beauty added that they’re hoping the big day will be filmed. “Hopefully we’ll have cameras there, so it could, kind of, not only document the fun aspects of it for us later in life, cause we’re gonna watch it back, but also for our fans and for Bachelor nation,” she said.
Although they now have a camera crew documenting their post-Bachelor life for Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, Bushnell said they both still appreciate small romantic gestures. “I’ve been getting up extra early and making him breakfast,” she said of the most recent thing she’s done for Higgins. “I can tell that he really appreciates it, so getting up early, I’ll have the coffee made, I put his mug out and I make him breakfast in the morning, and I’m not a morning person so that’s, like, a big step for me.”
Bushnell also gushed that Higgins, 28, is constantly letting her know how much he loves her. “He shows his love through verbal communications,” she said. “There’s not a day that goes by that [I don’t] a) know he loves me and b) have all his support and know he’s my biggest fan.”
The pair recently filmed a scene for their upcoming docuseries with Higgins’ Bachelor ex JoJo Fletcher and her fiancé, Jordan Rodgers. The group dined at Katsuya Hollywood on Thursday, August 4, and the ladies compared their Neil Lane diamond engagement rings.
As for what else viewers can expect on their show? “It’s our life in Denver,” the former flight attendant said. “It’s us going through the ups and downs of any relationship.”
