Lil Boosie has been diagnosed with kidney cancer, he revealed to fans via Instagram early Wednesday, Nov. 25.
In a now-deleted Instagram caption, the rapper, 33, revealed his latest health concern. "I need all my fans to pray for me," the Louisiana native wrote, alongside a snap of himself looking down at a breakfast table. "Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys. Prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayfaboosie."
According to TMZ, Boosie's team had the "Retaliation" artist take down his caption.
The rapper's revelation comes after a rough 2014. Boosie was released from prison in March 2014, after five years behind bars for marijuana possession and probation violation. He's also been battling diabetes for years, which made headlines following an onstage incident in NYC in May 2015.
Boosie fell ill during a performance after his diabetes medications were sent to the wrong location.
