This is adorable. Macklemore shared a cute pic on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 3, that showed him napping alongside his daughter.
"There is nothing better," he captioned the pic that shows the tiny baby wrapped up more snuggly than a burrito, while he is shirtless.
The "Thrift Shop" rapper and his girlfriend, Tricia Davis, welcomed Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty on May 29.
"There is nothing like the joy and happiness that comes from bringing a baby into this universe," the Grammy winner (whose real name is Ben Haggerty) said when he announced Sloane's arrival. "She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. She is the love of my life."
The 32-year-old kept his daughter's birth a secret for two months, finally letting the world know in August, when he and collaborator Ryan Lewis released a new song, "Growing Up," that was written for the little girl.
It was the first new music from the duo since the release of their hit album The Heist in 2012.
"When you try to escape yourself, life has an interesting way of creating situations that force you to come back. To look at who you are," Macklemore explained. "This is why 'Growing Up' felt like the right song to re-emerge with. It's where I've been the last year, through all the ups and downs."
The song, which also features Ed Sheeran, includes the rapper's dreams for his daughter and features the lyric "I just want to be a good dad. Will I be? I have no idea."
