Madonna's in Team Elton!
The "Material Girl" spoke out on Wednesday, March 18, taking onetime-rival Elton John's side in his feud against Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The battle between the British singer and his once designer pals has been raging since the weekend, after John took offense at an interview the pair had given to Italy's Panorama magazine where they criticized gay adoptions and branded children created via IVF "synthetic."
Railying against the designers, John called on his high profile friends to boycott the fashion brand, and was immediately backed up by Ricky Martin, Martina Navratilova, and Courtney Love, who all vowed to throw their D&G duds in the trash.
The straight-talking designers then raged back at the "Rocket Man" singer, branding him a "fascist" for refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of another point of view.
But now John has another supporter in his camp. Madonna made her views clear by sharing a photograph via Instagram on Wednesday, of her lying on a bed, with a baby in her arms – a shot she did did for the Italian brand's Fall Winter 2010 collection.
"All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families," the mom of four wrote in a caption to the photograph. "There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak," she added, "#livingforlove."
