Keeping her love life locked down! Meg Ryan has had several A-list flames, including her former husband of 10 years, Dennis Quaid, and Russell Crowe and John Mellencamp. But these days the actress, 54, is happy to keep a low profile in the romance department.
“I’m on a little break [from love],” the former rom-com queen told Porter magazine. “I’m [in love] with my life right now in a way that I adore, with my kids and my world.”
And despite being in a somewhat ageist industry, Ryan isn’t afraid of getting older.
“I love my age. I love my life right now,” the Ithaca star continued. “I love what I know about. I love the person I’ve become, the one I’ve evolved into. In my life I’ve been scrappy as hell, but I feel easy with things now. I think that comes with age.”
Though her ex-boyfriend Mellencamp has moved on from their 2014 split with supermodel Christie Brinkley, the pair still worked together on Ithaca. The famed singer-songwriter penned songs for the upcoming film, which also stars Ryan’s frequent costar and longtime friend Tom Hanks.
“[John]’s the perfect kind of songwriter for this story. He’s world class,“ she said of her ex. “There’s not one speck of music that’s not his. He’s got some kind of magic touch.”
