Done! Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas have finalized their divorce after nearly 20 years of marriage.
TMZ obtained the couple's divorce documents on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and revealed how things were divvied up between the couple. Banderas, who's made a lot of money with his various blockbusters, will get to keep the profits made from select films, including The Mask of Zorro, Spy Kids, and Desperado.
However, the pair must split any money earned from their films made from 2004 to 2014. This includes Banderas' hit movies Shrek 2, Puss in Boots, Machete Kills, and Expendables 3. Though the couple married in 1996, their marital agreement shifted with a post-nuptial agreement in 2004.
According to TMZ, Banderas, 55, will be shelling out a whopping $65,000 per month to his ex-wife in spousal support. Griffith also gets the couple's Aspen home and a Picasso painting called "The Painter and His Model." Not all art is lost for Banderas, who gets to keep a pencil drawing by the venerable Picasso, as well as one drawing by late Mexican artist Diego Rivera.
The former spouses, who share a teenage daughter, Stella, have sold their L.A. mansion and divided up the money.
The couple announced in June 2014 that they were splitting after 19 years of marriage. "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner," the pair told Us Weekly at the time. "Honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends, and the beautiful time we have spent together."
Both parties signed their divorce documents this past July. Though their marriage is over, the two remain on good terms. They both attended their daughter Stella's high school graduation this past June, where they posed for family pics together.
This is the second divorce for Banderas and the fourth for Griffith, who is mom to Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson. Griffith is also mom to one son, Alex Bauer.
