Moving in the right direction! Despite separating last August, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have put on a united front in recent months. The And So It Goes actor recently told Entertainment Tonight's Gayle King that the pair are "doing great."
"We're very close and everything's going great," Douglas, 69, told the ET correspondent. "Sometimes we spend more efforts with people that are strangers in terms of making an impression than the person that's closest to us," he continued. "And you just gotta remember not to take for granted that person that's closest to you."
Douglas and Zeta-Jones, 44, announced their separation after 13 years of marriage back in August 2013 in order to "evaluate and work on their marriage." Since then, they've reunited to take their kids Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10, trick-or-treating for Halloween, and spent the holidays together as a family in Quebec, Canada.
The couple's most public outing thus far, however, came when they walked their first joint red carpet appearance in nine months on April 15. The parents of two wore matching black outfits as they attended the opening night of The Library at NYC's Public Theater.
