Miley Cyrus Says Insulting Beyonce Quotes Were Made Up

Miley Cyrus and Beyonce Knowles
Miley Cyrus says her alleged quotes from Love Magazine about Beyonce were made up.

2014's first feud? Many sites reported that Miley Cyrus kicked off the New Year with a sting to Queen Bey. The 21-year-old pop rocker covers Love Magazine's March 2014 issue, but it was her supposed quotes about Beyonce that raised eyebrows.

Cyrus reportedly said that the biggest blow to Beyonce's career was choosing to have daughter Blue Ivy, almost 2 years.

"As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now," the former Disney star reportedly mused (via Daily Mail). "I got the total package, you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I'm just the best."

Cyrus quickly took to Twitter to dispel the rumors.

"That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol! Imagine if I said I got 'the looks and the curves I'm just better!' Bahahahhaha," she tweeted on Jan. 2. "How are people allowed to make up s–t & then out quotes around it saying I said that s–t! WTF!!?! don't worry. getting 2 the bottom of this s–t. making the liar retract the statement. U can cause ALOT of drama but NOT between me & B!"

The "Wrecking Ball" crooner, however, didn't say that all quotes about Beyonce were necessarily made up. Various sites reported that Cyrus said, "Beyonce has been a big inspiration for me, but she's been out for such a long time. [She's been] out of the game for too long. I'm the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right."

"She's so talented, and I think she's at the top of the game now, but people are always looking for new blood and that's what I bring to the game now, new blood," Cyrus continued.

Cyrus' alleged comments come as Beyonce has just wrapped up the North American leg of her Mrs. Carter World Tour that started in April and was entirely sold out. The "Grown Woman" singer also gave a buzzed-about Super Bowl halftime performance in February 2013 that brought in ratings second only to Madonna's 2012 show.

Beyonce shocked fans with a surprise fifth self-titled visual album, which quickly set the record for iTunes digital album sales and made it to the company's no. 2 album of the year spot under Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience after only a week. Cyrus' Bangerz album did not make the list.

"I just feel like I was born for this time right now," Cyrus reportedly said. "All things must start and end, and I hope to have the same success as other icons in the game when my run is over. But for now, my run is just starting."
