Aw! What a cutie!
Milla Jovovich shared the first photo of her adorable newborn daughter Dashiel Edan via Instagram late on Wednesday, April 1.
As Us Weekly reported previously, the Ukranian actress and model gave birth to Dashiel, her second daughter with husband Paul Anderson (the couple already have a 7-year-old daughter, Ever), earlier in the day. And despite the rigors of childbirth, Jovovich was evidently on cloud nine as she shared the cute snap of the newest member in their family via social media just hours after the birth.
"We are so proud to announce the birth of our second daughter Ms. Dashiel Edan Jovovich-Anderson today!!!" the 39-year-old mom of two wrote. "She is 7lbs. 10 oz. and 20 inches long! We love you Dash!"
Jovovich met Anderson, 50, back in 2002 when he directed her in the movie Resident Evil. The pair were gearing up to film the last in the movie franchise, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, when they announced back in August, that they were expecting another child together.
Jovovich explained that the movie would have to be put on hold until after she gave birth.
"We want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition," she said via Twitter at the time. "I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been working so hard on the movie in South Africa already and we are so looking forward to working with you all next summer. and when we arrive, it will hopefully be with the newest member of our little family!"
