Well, at least she didn’t have to print off new save the dates! Earlier today the news broke that Naya Rivera had secretly tied the knot with actor Ryan Dorsey — whom most assumed was a brand-new boyfriend — in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Saturday, July 19. The Glee star and the rapper bitterly ended their engagement and relationship just three months ago, but Rivera clearly kept the wedding date handy. A source tells Us that before their split in April, Rivera and Big Sean had not announced the location of their nuptials, simply the date.
The date isn't just her original wedding day with Big Sean, a source close to the couple points out: "July 19th is also Ryan's birthday, making this an even more joyous occasion."
A source tells Us, “Naya didn’t tell most of her friends that she was marrying Ryan Dorsey, let alone that she was dating him! The whole thing is a complete surprise.”
Coincidentally, at the time of Rivera’s wedding, Big Sean was nearby Cabo San Lucas in Punta Mita, Mexico, recording with newlywed rapper, Kim Kardashian’s husband Kanye West at Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis' house Casa Aramara.
Rivera also had a touch of the Kimye magic for her big day, using hairstylist Clyde Haygood, who crafted the reality star’s wedding day ‘do back in May. A source close to Rivera also revealed that the sitcom star’s Monique Lhuillier dress “looks a lot like the one Kim married Kanye in.”
For her ceremony, Kardashian wore a long-sleeved, lace-covered Givenchy gown. She tied the knot in a Florence, Italy ceremony with West on May 24.
