No jealousy here! Sofia Vergara’s ex-fiance Nick Loeb couldn’t be happier for Vergara and Joe Manganiello. After Us Weekly revealed the couple of six months are engaged on Monday, Dec. 29, Loeb told Us exclusively the Modern Family star “deserves happiness.”
“She is beautiful and majestic and therefore to be loved,” the Onion Crunch entrepreneur told Us. “Beyond all else in life she deserves happiness, the kind that only true love can bring.”
Loeb and Vergara called off their engagement this past May, after dating on and off since 2010. Just two months later, Us exclusively revealed that the Colombian beauty, 42, was dating the True Blood hunk.
Fast-foward to Christmas day and Manganiello was popping the question to Vergara, who, along with their families, were in Hawaii celebrating the holiday and Manganiello’s 38th birthday.
“He wanted to do it in front of her family,” a source told Us of the Magic Mike actor's Dec. 25 proposal.
According to an eyewitness, after accepting her massive new bling, “Sofia was staring at her hand at the pool and couldn’t stop smiling. The ring is giant and very sparkly. It stands out from a mile away and is hard to miss. She and Joe are crazy about each other!”
The now-engaged couple spent the past week celebrating their engagement at the luxurious St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai. “It was one celebration after the next and they had family around to make it even more special,” the insider adds. “They told the staff at the hotel it was a trip of a lifetime and one they will never forget.”
