Paris Jackson is standing up for herself. Michael Jackson’s 17-year-old daughter lashed out at critics via a since-deleted Instagram earlier this week. In her post, the teen said she goes to AA meetings.

“This is f—king ridiculous. i am expected to literally sit on my ass all day replying to comments people leave me (positive and negative)? i have aa meetings to go to. family obligations. PERSONAL obligations. its so f—king selfish that i am literally attacked on every f—king thing i post just because people that i DONT EVEN KNOW aren’t getting what they want. I don’t know any of you,” she wrote. “I appreciate the love and support, but the expectations are f—king ridiculous. the expectations for my DAD were f—king ridiculous. he didn’t owe you anything, yet he was ripped to shreds DAILY. i will not let that happen to me.”

It’s unclear exactly what comments prompted Paris’ post.

The late icon’s only daughter previously stayed at a residential treatment facility in Utah in June 2013 after she attempted suicide. Following the incident, Paris’ mom, Debbie Rowe, tweeted: “She is strong like her father.”

Paris has since moved on and has been spotted out in Los Angeles, looking happy with her boyfriend, Chester Castellaw.

On February 1, she shared an Instagram post about meditation.

“Meditation doesn't always have to be the cliché incense-burning to hindu chanting while sitting cross legged, it's any way to quiet your mind. i know someone who will watch, say, 4 episodes of scooby doo while wrapped up in a quilt drinking hot chocolate, and be fine for the rest of the week. everyone has their own method. i'm happy to have found another new one,” she captioned a photo of herself snowboarding.
