While Bobbi Kristina Brown spends her final days at a Duluth, Ga., hospice center, her aunt and co-legal guardian Pat Houston has begun letting go.
Houston, the sister-in-law of Brown’s late mother, Whitney Houston, recently cleaned out the 22-year-old’s townhouse in nearby Roswell, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“She kept all the pictures and Whitney’s platinum and gold album plaques,” says a source close to Brown, who was found facedown in her bathtub on Jan. 31. “But she threw everything else out.”
The 55-year-old hopes their memories will live on elsewhere. Adds the source, “Everything is at Pat’s house now."
As previously reported by Us, Pat has rarely left the aspiring singer's side in recent weeks. “She visits every day and often spends the night,” the insider says of the doting aunt, who shares legal guardianship with Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby Brown.
Bobbi’s grandmother Cissy Houston is currently unable to travel from her home in New Jersey and is resting for her own health. Still, she sends her prayers and well-wishes daily. “Pat calls Cissy and lets her speak to Bobbi over the phone,” an insider tells Us. “Cissy wants to be there badly."
As for Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, he is staying at his mother’s home in Florida and is banned from visiting her. On Sunday, July 12, Gordon was served papers in a lawsuit regarding his treatment of Bobbi prior to when she was found unconscious. The complaint, which was obtained by Us Weekly, accuses him of dragging his girlfriend upstairs by her hair, withdrawing funds from her bank account without authorization, and knocking out her teeth.
