He’s like family. Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison, who co-owns the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop where Austin “Chumlee” Russell works, reacted to his employee’s arrest on Thursday, March 10.
“We don’t have details yet,” Harrison, 50, told Fox News in an emailed statement. “But we are here to help Chumlee any way we can.”
Chumlee, 33, who’s best known for his oftentimes bizarre antics in the Las Vegas-based pawn shop, created a frenzy on Wednesday, March 9, after he was arrested on drug and weapon charges.
Police raided the reality star’s home on Wednesday after serving a search warrant in a sexual-assault complaint recently filed by an unidentified woman. While Chumlee wasn’t charged for sexual assault on Wednesday night, the investigation regarding the incident is still open.
Las Vegas police said in a statement that they found marijuana and methamphetamine in his home, in addition to at least one gun.
He was held at the Clark County Detention Center overnight on $62,000 bail.
