Apollo Nida won’t be appearing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anytime soon, but he might be able to make the case for a cameo on Orange Is the New Black. Phaedra Parks’ husband has officially begun his 8-year prison sentence for bank fraud, TMZ reports

The Secrets of the Southern Belle author has been on the Bravo reality show since season 3, but lately her marriage has been the subject of media attention after her husband publicly questioned their relationship.

When asked on Atlanta’s B100 radio station if his marriage would last through his time in prison, Nida responded, “I doubt it. I mean, my wife didn’t even f—king show up for my sentencing. I’m still salty about that.”

Parks' rep Steve Honig tells Us Weekly, “Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

The couple shares young sons Ayden and Dylan and have been married since 2009. Nida previously served six years in prison for auto loan fraud.
