History in the making. Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton cheered on Scottish tennis star Andy Murray as he won his second Wimbledon title on Sunday, July 10.
The royal couple watched the prestigious tennis tournament from the Royal Box, where they were joined by British Prime Minister David Cameron, Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Bradley Cooper.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 34, looked regal in a $2,995 Alexander McQueen silk Obsession Talisman dress, which she paired with an L.K. Bennett clutch, Brora gold earrings and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
William, 34, who was making his first appearance at the tournament this year, looked handsome in a light gray suit, a black tie and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Earlier in the week, Kate visited the All England Club with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, to watch Serena Williams defeat Elena Vesnina in the women’s semi-finals. The 22-time Wimbledon winner, 34, later shared a selfie with Kate and Sophie, who is married to William’s uncle Prince Edward, on her Snapchat account.
“It was really nice to meet with [Kate and Sophie],” Williams told reporters after her match on Thursday, July 7. “I actually didn’t know they were both there. It was really cool. We just had a chat about the matches. I was surprised. It was a good thing that I did not see that they were there. Maybe I would have gotten a little nervous.”
