It's over — for now. Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend of 10 years, Dave Clark, have split, Us Weekly can confirm.
"It was a mutual decision and there was nothing in particular that led to a fallout. This is an opportunity for them to reflect, learn and grow," a source tells Us. "It's possible they'll get back together. They called it a break, not a breakup. They care about each other deeply."
Princess Beatrice, 28, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, met Clark, 32, during a study abroad program with the University of Edinburgh. In fact, it was her cousin Prince William who first introduced them.
Princess Beatrice and her handsome guy were most recently spotted having fun with friends during a trip to Monaco in June. The pair were all smiles as they relaxed on a luxury yacht.
In 2013, the two made headlines when they vacationed with Hollywood stars Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher in Saint-Tropez, France. "Bea's boyfriend, Dave, is the link," an insider told Us at the time. "He is head of relations at Virgin Galactic and that's how he met Ashton, who is going to be one of the early space travelers."
"They all get along really well," the insider added of the unexpected foursome. "Bea thinks Mila is awesome."
As previously reported, Princess Beatrice moved to New York City last year. Fellow Brit Clark is now an executive for the car service Uber.
