Proud parents Kate Middleton and Prince William escorted their son, Prince George, and their newborn daughter into the church as hundreds of well-wishers watched. Princess Charlotte was crying as Kate lifted her out of her pram, but the Duchess of Cambridge — in a stunning all-cream Alexander McQueen suit and Jane Taylor fascinator — calmed the little girl.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend Justin Welby, presided over the ceremony and personally baptized Princess Charlotte. He was joined by The Reverend Canon Jonathan Riviere and the Rector of the Sandringham group of parishes.

Following the service, the family exited the church and once again greeted the cheering crowd.
