Not holding back. Jennifer Lee, the widow of comedian Richard Pryor, sounded off on Bill Cosby and called him names in a revealing new interview during Alison Rosen's podcast, Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend.
Lee, who served as a manager for Pryor and was married to him twice, spoke to Rosen about her marriage and her late husband before turning the conversation to Cosby, asserting "I'd like to address the whole Bill Cosby thing."
"Richard was dirty on the outside, but he was a good person, he was clean on the inside," she began of Pryor, who passed away at the age of 65 in 2005. His reputation was tarnished after spending years in his early life publicly struggling with addiction and marrying five different women over just a few decades. "Bill… f–k. Clean, oh, 'clean.' He hated Richard because Richard… you know, 'worked dirty.' Bill worked clean, so therefore, you know… Bill’s just a f–king hypocrite, and dirty on the inside."
"It was a well-kept secret that Bill f–ked everything that moved," she continued of Cosby, 77, who infamously faces sexual misconduct allegations from more than 30 women. "This kind of s–t that we're finding out about is beyond. I wasn't aware of this kind of business. There are people in the business who were aware of it and they're coming out now too."
Married to Pryor from 1981 to 1982 and again from 2001 until his untimely death, Lee went on to speak of the judgmental air that she picked up from Cosby, and recounted one incident with the disgraced comedian and his wife Camille Cosby.
"They came to our house one night for dinner, Camille and Bill. A couple weeks prior to this dinner, Richard and I had a threesome," Lee said, going on to explain that Pryor got jealous during the threesome, lashed out, and ended up breaking an oversized Tiffany lamp. It wasn't able to get fixed in time for the dinner, and Lee felt that the Cosbys were bringing their attention to it. "Here's the perfect couple sitting right there for us to feel so ashamed. The perfect Camille, the perfect Bill… I never felt so judged and shamed in all my life, and I think about that."
"The condescension that was going on and the holier than thou," she added later in the interview of Cosby's general viewpoint. "I think it got so over-the top. It was almost bound to happen… Yeah, he's a piece of s–t."
As to whether Camille, 70, had knowledge of her husband's transgressions, Lee said simply, "I think she had to."
