All for the kids! Russell Wilson made one of his regular stops at Seattle Children's Hospital on Tuesday, June 2, and brought his new girlfriend Ciara along for the charitable trip.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback, 26, spends time with the patients at the hospital on a weekly basis. Wilson decided to introduce his singer love, 29, to this important part of his life, bringing the Texas native to Washington state.
"Sunday is game day for me, but my best day is Tuesday when I visit Seattle Children's," Wilson said in an earlier statement about the hospital. "All the amazing opportunities I’ve had on the field can’t compare to helping kids whose lives are on the line. I started volunteering a couple of years ago. I'm humbled by the courage of the patients and families I meet and proud to witness the amazing work of the nurses and doctors who care for them."
Wilson took to Instagram to share photos from his latest Tuesday trip, posting shots of himself and Ciara with adorable kids and families who are spending time in the hospital. In one image, the NFL star wraps his arm around the Grammy winner's waist and takes a seat on the hospital bed of a patient named George. "George is a fighter! @SeattleChildrens @Ciara," he captioned the shot.
In another photo, Wilson flexes his impressive muscles as Ciara, a patient, and the patient's family members do the same. "We are #StrongAgainstCancer with Nico @Ciara @SeattleChildrens @StrongAgainstCancer," the athlete wrote.
Ciara, who split from then-fiancé Future last year, reposted a few of Wilson's photos, sending prayers and messages of hope to the patients. The "Body Party" was single for a few months following the breakup and has been raising her 12-month-old son Future, whom she shares with the rapper.
A rep from Seattle Children's Hospital took to Twitter on Tuesday night to thank the singer and her new love for their visit. Accompanying a photo of the two with a patient, the tweet reads, "Thank you @DangeRussWilson & @Ciara for a surprise, star-studded evening for our patients. Feeling starstruck."
