Russell Brand, Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segel are the latest celebrities to participate in famed photographer Annie Leibovitz‘s dazzling Disney Dream Portrait series.
British comedian Brand — once wed to Katy Perry, 27 — dresses up as the villainous Captain Hook from Peter Pan, narrowly escaping the jaws of the hungry crocodile who has chased him for years. (Walt Disney’s animated classic was released in 1953.)
“There are similarities between me and Captain Hook in that I am an Eton-educated, piratical buccaneer living on the high seas stealing and robbing and loathing the perpetual innocence and childhood of Pan,” Brand, 37, jokes. “Peter Pan! Oh, how I hate him!”
“And as for that crocodile that nipped my end,” he adds, “I’m fuming!”
Black, 42, Ferrell, 45, and Segel, 32, meanwhile, portray Phineas, Ezra and Gus, better known as the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
“I’ve had this poster on my wall since I was 15 years old,” Segel says of the characters. “I was really honored and excited when I found out we were going to do this — and with the two best dudes of all time!”
The Hitchhiking Ghosts are featured in the Haunted Mansion, but Segel wasn’t always a fan of the attraction. “I ran out of the ride. They had to stop the elevator as the room was stretching because I was ruining it for everyone,” The Five-Year Engagement star recalls. “I was screaming and crying hysterically.”
The new images are part of Disney Parks’ “Let The Memories Begin” celebration. Leibovitz’s previous portraits featured celebrities including Olivia Wilde, Alec Baldwin, Julie Andrews, Abigail Breslin, Beyonce Knowles, Penelope Cruz, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Michael Phelps, Scarlett Johansson, David Beckham, Rachel Weisz, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Biel, Whoopi Goldberg, Queen Latifah, Gisele Bundchen, Orlando Bloom, Lyle Lovett, Oliver Platt and Mikkail Baryshnikov.
