Awkward! Sharon Osbourne was on hand to help her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, announce Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in Hollywood on Thursday, May 12, and it was a cringeworthy 30 minutes.
The Talk cohost, who recently split from her husband of nearly 34 years, was strictly business while the rocker attempted to embrace her on stage.
“Thank you to all of you for coming … we all know without you guys we’re nothing, so God bless you,” Sharon, 63, told the crowd. “Now, before we get started, I want to introduce you to some friends of mine … OK, Ozzy Osbourne,” she continued as her estranged husband made his way onto the stage.
The Black Sabbath frontman, 67, then greeted his wife by hugging her from behind and proceeded to rub her shoulders as she stood stoically facing the audience. According to an attendee, the moment was “super awkward.”
“She was not into him hugging her at all,” the onlooker tells Us, adding that during a photocall, “Ozzy kept trying to put his arm around her.”
As she posed next to the rocker for a group photo, Sharon kept her hands clasped together in front of her to avoid hugging her husband, the attendee tells Us.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed that Sharon kicked Ozzy out of their house after she discovered that he was allegedly having an affair with celebrity hair stylist Michelle Pugh.
“Sharon found out about the affair by searching through Ozzy’s emails,” a source previously told Us.
“I’ve been avoiding looking at any pictures or reading anything. I know what’s going on,” Sharon said of rumors of their split on The Talk on May 10. “I don’t need to read about it and see about it because it’s like putting salt in a wound.”
