"I just knew I had to [tell someone],” Brown explained of her decision to confide in Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn. "I knew I couldn't keep doing that. They would ruin my life. That was said to me many times. I believe that's what the goal was, to break up this family.”

During the special, Robyn said that she knew something was up prior to Meri’s confession. "I'd been begging her for months to talk to me,” she explained. "I knew something wasn't right."

In case you missed it, Meri sought out an online friendship with a person she believed was a man named Sam after feeling lonely after her daughter, Mariah, left for college. At the time, Meri appreciated the friendship and having someone to talk to, but once the man started to show affection, she said she felt flattered but grew confused. "There were times early on that I was talking to him that I knew he was just feeding me a line of bulls–t, and I chose to ignore it because I enjoyed just talking to somebody," she previously explained.

During Sunday’s tell-all, Meri said that “this person pushed” the idea of leaving her family on to her, but that she was never actually planning on it. "He started saying all the right things. He started saying very flattering comments and expressing affection and love to me and I fell for it,” she revealed of why she told “Sam” she’d leave her family. "I started to love who he was portraying himself to be."

Her husband, Kody, was surprisingly supportive.

"What I see is somebody she made friends with, somebody she felt safe with, but she was just having a communication," Kody said during the special.

Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC at 8 p.m. ET.
