Star Trek: Voyager's Jennifer Lien was arrested and charged with indecent exposure

Jennifer Lien, best known for her role of Kes in Star Trek: Voyager, has been arrested and charged with indecent exposure to a child under the age of 13.

The 41-year-old actress was arrested on Thursday, Sept 3 in her home in Harriman, Tenn., WATE reports, after a confrontation with a neighbor which resulted in the her lifting her top, dropping her pants and using vulgar language.

Neighbor Carey Smith told the outlet that the actress had come over to her home to make comments on the way she was raising her children. According to Smith, Lien used bad language and then started disrobing.

"All of a sudden, here come the shirt up," Smith said. "She started flashing and, 'Woo hoo,' and I said, 'And what respect is that for kids?' There was none. And then she turned around and dropped her pants."

Police officers said Lien, who played the role of a medical assistant in the first three seasons of Star Trek: Voyager, was naked on her couch when they arrived, although covered by a blanket. They said the actress claimed to be expecting their arrival, but refused to go willingly and was eventually carried to the police car.

The Harriman Police Department later revealed that Lien has a record that includes aggravated assault, domestic assault, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and reckless endangerment.

Her bond has been set at $2,500, and as of Tuesday, Sept. 15, she remains in jail.
