Why wait? Stephen Fry announced via Twitter on Saturday, Jan. 17, that he and his fiance Elliott Spencer tied the knot. The news comes just two weeks after the couple revealed that they were engaged.
"Gosh. @ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one," the British actor, 57, captioned a pic of the newlyweds. "Amazing." The couple said "I do" in the Norfolk town of Dereham, England.
The Sun broke news earlier this month that Fry and comedian Spencer, 27, were headed to the altar. Fry tweeted in response: "It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"
His assistant added to BBC: "It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"
This is the first marriage for Fry. The 24: Live Another Day actor was previously linked to actor Steven Webb, now 30, and salesman Daniel Cohen.
