The girls are back at it! In a moment that probably had Thelma & Louise fans twirl with excitement, Susan Sarandon and her former costar Geena Davis reunited for an adorable selfie 23 years after the film's debut via Twitter on Thursday, June 19. The ladies recreated their snapshot from the 1991 classic, and boasted that yes, they were the first to create the "selfie."

"Inventors of the #selfie at it again. #ThelmaAndLouise," Sarandon, 67, tweeted. The actress shared both the now and then pictures, and it appeared as though the striking Oscar-winning ladies haven't aged one bit.

Thelma & Louise centered on housewife Thelma (Davis) and waitress Louise (Sarandon) who head out for a two-day adventure in the midwest. Trouble seems to find the Arkansas working class gals, however, as they eventually shoot a rapist and escape in their red hot '66 Thunderbird. The crime drama also starred Timothy Carhart, Christopher McDonald, and a dreamy relatively-unknown Brad Pitt.

Sarandon and Davis, 58, have seen each other from time to time over the years since their big blockbuster hit. In September 2013, the women reunited on the red carpet at the Heifer International's 2nd Annual "Beyond Hunger: A Place At The Table" event in L.A.
