Taylor Armstrong probably won’t be “going Oklahoma” on anyone in Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Us Weekly caught up exclusively with the Bravo star, 40, for an update on her life after her recent return to her hometown of Tulsa, Okla.–just eight months after estranged husband Russell Armstrong’s shocking Suicide.

Armstrong made a name for herself in season one of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when she threatened Kim Richards, quipping, “I’m about to take you out back and pull some Oklahoma on your a–!”

“It just flew out of my mouth,” Armstrong explained to Us with a laugh. “It was one of those moments where you go, “Oh no! Did I just say that?” and ‘Oh no! Was that on television?’ But a lot of people came up and were like, ‘No. That was so funny. We loved it.’ ”

The star was “a little uneasy” about returning home, but instantly reconnected with her old friends from childhood. “It’s just the nature of people in that part of the country and maybe everywhere, more so than I realize, – they’re just very loving and welcoming,” she said.

And Armstrong isn’t too worried about speaking out of turn on Season 3. She’s still coping with the tragic death of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong (who was 47 when he hanged himself on Aug. 16, 2011) and life as a single mother to their 6-year-old daughter, Kennedy.

Armstrong is now a New York Times bestelling author with her book, Hiding From Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within.

“I’m growing and I’m really just focused on Kennedy and learning how to be a single woman and a single mom,” the mom shared.

And when she says “single,” she means it!

“Not a single soul,” she told Us when asked if she’s dating anyone. “I’m just so not ready. I still think about Russell every single day, and I still miss him terribly and I feel like I’m so far from ready. I don’t know if you just wake up and you’re ready, or how that works. But for me, for now, I really got some growing to do, I think, before I’ll be even ready to be a good judge of what’s good for me.”

While fans may not see Armstrong dating in Season 3, they might see her relationships with other cast members improve.

Though she will be missed, Armstrong says she understands Camille Grammer‘s recently announced departure from the show.

“Camille has gone through a lot and I would totally respect that she may need some time to just breathe and to just be with her kids and figure out what it is she wants to do now,” the Bravo star explained. “But at the same time…she had been through a lot of the same things — Well, I won’t say the same — but similar things that I’ve been through and so I’ve looked to her in the past for advice.”

As for another controversial star on the show, Armstrong says her relationship with Kim Richards (who underwent treatment for alcoholism in January) has improved.

Armstrong revealed, “Kim and I are actually amazing. She and I spent a good amount of time together at the Upfront and it was great. We got a chance to talk and catch up and she is doing so well. I am so proud of her. She looks healthy. She’s sticking with her recovery and her program, and I couldn’t be happier for her and for her family.”
