It's not an awards show if Taylor Swift isn't passionately dancing in the audience. The 24-year-old didn't hold back at the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, when Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum performed the hit "Wagon Wheel" on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
After a relatively tame series of performances by Blake Shelton and Shakira, Miranda Lambert, and Lee Brice, Swift finally was able to cut loose and bust a move by standing up, clapping, and swaying her hips. Her seat neighbors were significantly less animated, making the "Red" singer stand out even more.
The chart-topper turned heads in a cutout white crop top with a long black skirt, flashing plenty of leg with a thigh-high slit. It was a daring choice for the artist, who tends to favor floor-length sparkly gowns.
In terms of the night's major awards, the country vocalist-turned-pop star didn't take home any big trophies, losing the Female Vocalist of the Year to Miranda Lambert and Entertainer of the Year to George Strait.
But Swift didn't leave the event empty-handed. She won Video of the Year with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban for their tune "Highway Don't Care."
