Talk about timing! On the very day that Sean Lowe sent contestant Tierra LiCausi packing after their destination date in St. Croix, LiCausi's now-fiance was plotting to fly out to the Virgin Islands to win her back, LiCausi's older brother Tyler confirms to Us Weekly.

"When he found out she was filming The Bachelor, he did everything he could to try to get to her," says Tyler, who confirmed LiCausi's engagement to Us on Wednesday. "He even called ABC to find out where she was filming so he could fly there. He was literally on his way to St. Croix the day he finally reached her."

"It turns out, that was the exact same day Sean let her go," he continued about that fateful November day. "When Tierra got to the St. Croix airport, she was given her phone back [contestants on the show aren't allowed to use their phones during filming]. She turned it on and the first call she got was him — telling Tierra he was on his way."

The 24-year-old Las Vegas native stopped her unnamed fiance just in time, however, and the pair reunited in Denver, where she currently resides. The pair got engaged in January.

According to Tyler, LiCausi and her beau had been together on-and-off for three years, but went through a "bad breakup" the summer prior to filming. LiCausi then decided to audition for The Bachelor "on a whim."

"Our mom and Tierra had a mother/daughter day and went to the audition in our town just on a whim," LiCausi's older brother told Us. "Tierra thought it would be cool if she ever got to be on it and thought if I make it, I make it. If I don't, I don't. She was shocked when she was chosen. I tried to talk her out of it because I know how this stuff works!"

LiCausi has certainly gotten her share of media attention for her run on the hit ABC dating show. The feisty leasing agent was sent home on this past week's episode after Lowe decided he couldn't deal with her constant emotional turmoil anymore.

"I'm sorry," the apologetic bachelor, 29, attempted to smooth things over as LiCausi climbed into the back of a minivan.

"It's fine," she sniffed.

"I think the world of you," Lowe tried one last time.

"Obviously not enough," LiCausi retorted before slamming the door shut.
