Family first! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a meal with one of his favorite gals — daughter Simone — on Sunday, Sept. 20, and he couldn’t help gushing about their father-daughter bond via a sweet snapshot on Instagram.
“Had the best dinner w/ my daughter Simone at one of our favorite spots,” he captioned the precious photo, in which he and Simone, 14, pose at a cleared table. “Life’s crazy and complicated, but this amazing, loving, protective one of a kind father/daughter bond we have keeps me grounded and balanced. #GratefulMan #FatherDaughterBond #LifesBlessings #NowLetsOrderEveryDessertOnTheMenu #CuzWeCray #Prime112.”
Johnson, 43, and Simone’s mother, his college sweetheart Dany Garcia, split in 2008 after 10 years of marriage. But the former pro-wrestler has always maintained a strong relationship with Simone through the years.
“We do these stories and we talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren [Hashian, his longtime girlfriend] isn’t mentioned and my daughter isn’t mentioned,” he told Esquire candidly in August. “I always like making sure we find the balance and my home is in there and Lauren Hashian is in there and my daughter is in there. You gotta get the better half in there.”
“With all the cool s—t and success that I’ve been lucky enough to get? That doesn’t happen unless the home life is solid,” he explained.
And that home is only expanding. Earlier this month, he and Hashian announced that they’re expecting their first child together.
“They’re so excited!” an insider told Us Weekly of the pair, who have been together for nine years.
Johnson also recently became dad to two adorable French bulldog puppies, Brutus and Hobbs, over Labor Day weekend.
“[I] bring them home and immediately take them outside so they can start learning how to ‘handle their business and potty like big boys,’” the proud papa captioned an Instagram shot of himself holding the dogs in his pool. “I set them both down and they both take off in a full spring and fall right into the deep end of our pool.”
