Tom Daley is diving right into a new phase of honesty with his fans: The hunky British Olympic diver revealed via his YouTube page that he's now dating a man.
"This has been a hard decision to make, but I wanted you to hear this from me," Daley, 19, said in the video. "In spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great," he said.
"That someone is a guy. It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in my head that something like that could happen," Daley explained, without revealing the identity of his boyfriend. "But it wasn't until spring this year that things just clicked. It felt right and I thought 'Okay' and my whole world changed there and then."
Daley — who won a bronze medal for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and starred in the British version of reality diving show Splash! earlier this year — hinted he's not about to put labels just yet on his sexuality.
"Of course I still fancy girls but right now I’m dating a guy and I couldn’t be happier."
