The time is here! It’s been a big year on the big screen for Hollywood, with drama flicks, indie movies, and instant Disney hits. Us Weekly’s Film Critic Mara Reinstein has rounded up the top 10 movies of 2013, which includes American Hustle, 12 Years a Slave, Frozen and more! 10. Frozen
Ice, ice baby! The animated movie about two royal sisters is stuffed with enough toe-tapping music and bright humor to melt the most cynical of hearts.

9. 12 Years a Slave
The brutally true story of a free man (Chiwetel Ejiofor) forced into slavery before the Civil War makes for an engrossing and important history lesson.

8. Before Midnight
After 18 years, we’re still falling for Celine (Julie Delpy) and Jesse (Ethan Hawke). Now in their 40s, the verbose couple evocatively debate fidelity, kids and death in idyllic Greece. See you again in 2022? Please?

7. American Hustle
Face it, we’d watch Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale veg on a couch for two hours. How fortunate that they all united in a rollicking and stylish crime caper.

6. Captain Phillips
The real-life characters may quibble over the facts, but there’s no denying that the harrowing the survival-on-the-seas tale stirs to the core. Note to the incomparable Tom Hanks: You’re forgiven for Cloud Atlas.

5. Blue Jasmine
On the flip side, behold Woody Allen’s sardonic and brilliant take on relationships that collapse under the weight of deception. Cate Blanchett’s brittle Jasmine holds it all together.

4. Enough Said
Weary, middle-aged L.A. divorcée (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) dates weary, middle-aged L.A. divorcé (James Gandolfini). The result is a sparkling comedy that never feels contrived. Enough said.

3. Fruitvale Station
Fingers crossed that Oscar voters won’t forget about this gut-wrenching drama. Same goes for Michael B. Jordan’s moving performance as a doomed young father.

The unique, enlightening romance between a lonely man and his fully functional computer system resonates long after the screen goes black. And it’s funny!

1. Gravity
Oh, what a palm-sweating, chest-thumping thrill it was to watch this space odyssey unfold on the big screen. Credit Sandra Bullock for bringing it down to Earth.
