So long, Dean—at least on social media. Tori Spelling recently changed her Instagram and Twitter handles from @ToriandDean to her full name amid her marriage woes with husband Dean McDermott—but it's not for the reasons you think! An insider tells Us Weekly that the mom of four decided to give her handle a facelift because of her new ABC Family series.
"Tori wanted to change it before her show Mystery Girls premiered," the source tells Us. "She wanted to change it for a while."
"She didn't want to do the new show press and have the Twitter be @jenniegarth and @torianddean," the source adds. "The @torianddean was one Oxygen made when she did the show." (Spelling's new series, which premiered June 25, also stars her longtime friend and former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Jennie Garth.)
"She didn't change it because of any Dean drama," according to the insider.
Spelling discussed her current status with McDermott while promoting Mystery Girls on June 25, noting that things are "getting better" for the couple. (Us broke news of McDermott's affair with 28-year-old Emily Goodhand in December 2013. Following the scandal, they documented their marriage woes on the Lifetime reality show True Tori.)
"Life is always a work in progress and our relationship is one as well," Spelling said on Good Morning America. "But we're moving in the right direction."
