Tori Spelling never saw Dean McDermott's infidelity coming. In fact, the True Tori star, 40, thought everything in her marriage was great—until suddenly it wasn't. As Us Weekly exclusively reported back in December, McDermott cheated on his wife of seven years earlier that month, with a 28-year-old woman named Emily Goodhand, whom he met on a trip to Toronto.
Now, in the wake of his fling, the parents of four are trying to figure out whether they have a future together. They're documenting that struggle on the Lifetime series True Tori, which premiered Tuesday, April 22.
Prior to the show's debut, Spelling spoke with Us about the state of her union with McDermott, dad to her kids Liam, 7, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 20 months. During the chat, she revealed that she and her husband hadn't been intimate since his cheating confession in December. Before that, though, she thought they were doing great in the bedroom.
"For having four children and very chaotic schedules, I thought we had a very, very good sex life," Spelling told Us when asked about Goodhand's claim that McDermott told her he had a "sexless marriage" with his wife. "Dean said he didn't say that to her. It's 'he said'/'she said,' and I obviously haven't talked to Emily so I don't know what he said to her."
She also doesn't know what Goodhand looks like—and she probably won't find out anytime soon. "I have written her name in my phone multiple times for Google Images," Spelling shared, "and when it comes up, I can't look at it."
That said, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum doesn't blame Goodhand. In fact, she knows what it's like to be Goodhand. When she and McDermott first got together back in 2005, both were still married to other people (she to Charlie Shanian, he to Mary Jo Eustace). "I was called a home-wrecker and a husband-stealer," she told Us. "I remember thinking, 'If this ever happened to me, I'd be pissed at my husband.'"
Now that it has happened, she is indeed angry, but not at the other woman. "I have never held Emily Goodhand responsible," Spelling said. "Dean did this, not her."
