Taylor Swift Performs Gorgeous Acoustic Version of ‘Blank Space’: Watch Here

She can show you incredible things! In a new video shared by Taylor Swift on Thursday, January 7, the 1989 superstar performs a gorgeous solo acoustic version of her smash single “Blank Space” — and it’s gone viral in less than 24 hours.

While the posted YouTube clip is new, Swift gave the intimate performance last September at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in L.A.

The songstress kicked off her performance with a brief synopsis of how her single came to be, which she’s previously detailed to Us Weekly in an exclusive interview. Swift sarcastically explained how there was a “wonderful fixation” on her dating history and romantic life, but it was initially frustrating because she was depicted as a “psycho serial dater girl.”

“It’s been awesome, I loved it,” she joked, making fun of certain headlines like: “‘Taylor Swift Standing Near Some Guy: Watch Out, Guy!'”

“My first reaction was like, ‘Man, that’s a bummer. This isn’t fun for me,'” she shared with the audience during the intimate show. However, she took that frustrating situation and turned it into a positive.

“But my second reaction was like, ‘Hey, that’s actually a really interesting character,'” she shared. “So, I was like, ‘I can use this!'” (As witnessed in her epic “Blank Space” music video, Swift’s character stayed true to her promise — and her lyrics.)

This is the latest portion of Swift’s Grammy Museum set to be shared online. On January 4, the singer released the airy “Wildest Dreams” on her YouTube page.
