Wiz Khalifa's priorities: 1. Take a selfie in jail. 2. Get out of jail. The rapper and marijuana lover was arrested on Sunday, May 25 after a TSA check found a "green leafy substance" while the "Black and Yellow" emcee was flying from El Paso to Dallas, TMZ reports.
Amber Rose's husband then took to live tweeting his arrest from his jail cell.
"Free Trap Wiz," he captioned a photo of his jail door. He then shared a somber-looking selfie from inside his lockup.
Ironically, the rapper was set to release his new single "28 Grams," but the release was delayed while he was in jail.
"They're tryna figure out how many grams I had," he tweeted. "How ironic."
When a fan asked why he was behind bars, Khalifa replied, "what else?"
Khalifa is married to and shares son Sebastian with Kanye West's ex-girlfriend Amber Rose. West married Kim Kardashian in a highly-publicized ceremony on Saturday, May 24 in Florence, Italy.
The rapper has always been open about his marijuana use, naming his tour in 2010 the Waken Baken Tour.
“I thought weed was bad for a minute,” Khalifa told MTV in 2010. “When I was younger, I thought it was bad, but I got to a point where it worked for me. It don’t work for everybody else. People gotta stay free, people need jobs, people got parents that probably wouldn’t be with it, so don’t ruin your life trying to be like me. That’s my advice.”
