Efron, 25, wrapped his arms around Snow, 27, and gave her a big hug from behind. The Parkland actor dressed casually in a gray hoodie and jeans, and was snacking on a caramel apple treat. Snow, looking cute in a red knit hat, black leather jacket, gray sweater and ripped jeans, hugged Efron back.

But the twosome didn’t go on the haunted hayride alone. They were joined by Derek Hough, who posted a group photo on Instagram of them posing with seven other friends including sister Julianne Hough and Hairspray director Adam Shankman. “Great time last night with great friends,” Hough captioned the shot. “Love this time of year.”

Efron, meanwhile, has been staying out of the spotlight after it was revealed in early September that he secretly entered rehab this past spring to deal with alcohol and cocaine problems. On Sept. 27, however, Efron posted a picture of himself hiking in Machu Picchu and updated his fans to let them know he was doing well.

“Hey guys!” the High School Musical star wrote. “Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks . . . means the world to me. Love you guys! – Z.”
