While promoting the animated film Fernidand, Jonas gushed over what “home” means to him in a December 2017 instagram post. “Family is the foundation of everything,” he wrote at the time.

After it was revealed that his big brother Joe is engaged to Sophie Turner, the “Jealous” singer couldn’t help but gush over the happy couple. “Ahh! Congratulations to my brother... and sister in law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much,” he captioned an Instagram post in October 2017. He later told Entertainment Tonight that their engagement is “a beautiful thing.”

While honoring his dad in a heartfelt Father’s Day 2017 post, Jonas added that “behind every great man is an amazing woman and @mamadjonas is that for sure.”

The Jumanji actor gushed over marriage in a December 2017 interview with Women’s Health. “I definitely think about marriage and hope that I can find somebody to spend the rest of my life with,” he said at the time. “Between my oldest brother, Kevin, his wife, Danielle, and their beautiful kids, and now Joe with Sophie, I've got some really amazing extended family. My sisters-in-law set the standards pretty high. So I've got to find someone great."

Chopra attended the high-profile wedding of close pal Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and revealed their nuptials brought her to tears. “Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still … that happened today … You my friend … were the epitome of grace, love and beauty,” she wrote in a series of Instagram pics in May 2018. “Every choice made at this wedding by you both will go down in history, not just because it was your wedding but because this incredible wedding stood for change and hope. Both things that the world needs desperately. The Bollywood star revealed advice her mom had given her about getting married during the Forbes Women Summit in April 2018. “Because I’m in my 30s, which is obviously over the hill, my mother said to me, ‘You’ll get married the day you find someone who appreciates how hard you worked to get where you are.’”

“Marriage and kids are a big goal for me. Months prior to her relationship with Jonas, the actress revealed that “Marriage is not something that can be planned,” during an interview with India.com in December 2017. “If I find somebody, somebody suitable then will tie the knot; have not found a suitable guy yet.” She also added that “marriage is definitely in the cards, but will happen when the time is right. It will happen when it is destined to.”

“For me, marriage was [in the] cards since I was 12. In fancy dress completions, I dressed up as a dulhan (bride) for six consecutive years straight. I believe in destiny. I believe we come from somewhere and we’re going somewhere,” Chopra reportedly said during an interview with FashionCentral.com. “And this is the pit stop. And in this pit stop, you’re meant to be happy. A certificate, an award, a home, a car, these tangible things don’t make you happy. These things come and go. When you’re lying on your death bed, you won’t think of your diamonds, your Rolls Royce… But things that gave you pure joy. So I look for joy.”

During the same interview with FashionCentral, Chopra noted that she has “high standards.” She added: “I need someone who keeps me engaged, is intelligent, well-spoken, well brought up. Because I’m proud of my upbringing. Being decent and courteous like my father is important to me. I look for a guy who’s like my father, who’s got a sense of humour, someone who can keep you engaged. I need to be able to admire and look up to the man. I wouldn’t be able to marry someone unless I look up to him and feel my chest swell with pride. Where, when, how, I don’t know. I used to see my mother looking at my dad like that.”
